Forgot PIN, can’t unlock, and recovery
Reset vault PIN with account password; recover Recoverable encryption with email OTP.
What it is
Two different recoveries: (1) Vault / App Lock PIN — reset with your Account password via Forgot PIN?. (2) Encrypted album passphrase on Recoverable encryption — Forgot passphrase? Recover with email (and phone OTP when enabled). Maximum privacy has no FWDLink recovery.
Why it helps
Know which path to use so you do not wipe the wrong thing or expect recovery that Maximum privacy cannot provide.
How to use it

App Lock wrong PIN: re-enter carefully. After too many mistakes, wait and try again. Use Forgot PIN? → Account password → Verify & continue → Set a new PIN.

Album unlock: enter the vault PIN (Require unlock) or encryption passphrase (Encrypted album).

Recoverable encryption only: Forgot passphrase? Recover with email → enter Email code → Verify & unlock.

Maximum privacy: if the passphrase is lost, nobody — including FWDLink — can restore those photos. There is no reset for that level.
Troubleshooting
- Incorrect or expired code
- Request a new recovery email and enter the latest Email code promptly. Check spam. Confirm you used the email on the account.
- Incorrect account password
- Forgot PIN? needs your FWDLink account password (sign-in password), not the vault PIN. Reset the account password through normal account recovery if needed, then return to Forgot PIN?.
