Availability & Geographic Restrictions

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Not everything FWDLink can do is offered everywhere. This page explains what is generally available, what is restricted, how we decide, and what the limits of that decision are.

1. Generally available

The core Platform is offered internationally, subject to section 4 and to local law:

  • Your public page, profile, links, and albums.
  • Photo, video, and document sharing, including private share links.
  • The business CRM — leads, scheduling, estimates, work orders, invoices, credit notes, customers, timesheets, and bookings.
  • Standard creator monetisation — memberships, tips, digital products, paid messages, paid libraries, and paid access to a page or album.

Taking payment additionally depends on our payment partners supporting your country for payouts. That is a separate constraint from anything below, and our partner will tell you during onboarding whether your country is supported.

2. Sexually explicit content is not offered

Sexually explicit content and pornography are not permitted on FWDLink in any jurisdiction. There is no geographic exception. See the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Service.

Other features may still vary by place because of payment-partner support, sanctions, or local law. Those limits are separate from the content prohibition above.

3. How we work out where you are — and why it is imperfect

Where a feature depends on location, availability is decided on our servers from a network location signal. We never take the answer from your browser, because a value the browser supplies can be changed by the browser.

That signal is an inference, and it is wrong for a meaningful minority of requests. We would rather say so than imply a precision we do not have:

  • Mobile carrier networks often route traffic through a different region entirely.
  • Corporate VPNs, satellite links, and cloud-hosted browsers resolve to the wrong country routinely.
  • State and province inference is materially less accurate than country inference. Treat it as a hint.
  • Travellers are misread in both directions.
  • A consumer VPN defeats this control entirely, and takes about thirty seconds to set up.

This reduces casual misuse of location-limited features. It does not stop a determined person from spoofing location. When we cannot determine a location, we treat the restricted feature as unavailable rather than guessing.

Deliberately misrepresenting your location — by VPN, proxy, false address, or someone else's payment method — to reach a service that is not offered where you are is a breach of the Terms of Service, the Creator Terms, and the Fan Terms, and may breach the law where you are.

4. Sanctions, embargoes, and export controls

FWDLink is operated from the United States and is subject to US sanctions and export control law, including the programmes administered by the US Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

4.1 Your representation

By using the Platform, you represent that you are not:

  • Located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of a country or territory subject to comprehensive US sanctions.
  • Named on any US government list of restricted or denied parties, including OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List.
  • Owned or controlled by, or acting on behalf of, any such person or entity.
  • Otherwise prohibited from receiving services or funds under applicable sanctions or export control law.

You also agree not to use the Platform to make anything available to such a person or entity.

4.2 What screening actually happens

Being precise about this, because the wording matters: our payment partners carry out sanctions and denied-party screening as part of their own onboarding and ongoing monitoring of anyone who receives money through the Platform. That screening is theirs, performed under their obligations, and its result can prevent an account from being paid.

FWDLink itself does not operate an independent screening programme against those lists today. We may block, restrict, or terminate an account, refuse a transaction, or freeze funds where we become aware of a sanctions concern, where a payment partner instructs us to, or where the law requires it. Where funds must be blocked rather than returned, we will do that and report as required.

4.3 Export control

You agree to comply with applicable export and import laws in relation to anything you upload, download, or transmit through the Platform.

5. Local law is still your responsibility

A service being technically reachable from where you are does not mean it is lawful for you to use it there. You are responsible for the law that applies to you — as a creator, that includes what you may publish, what licences you need, and what you owe in tax; as a buyer, that includes what you may lawfully access.

We may restrict or withdraw a feature in a country or region at any time, including at short notice, where the law changes, where a payment partner requires it, or where we conclude we cannot offer it responsibly.

6. Checking availability

The Platform tells you when something is unavailable where you are, at the point you try to use it. If you believe you have been blocked incorrectly, contact Support and tell us where you actually are. We will look at it, though we may not be able to override the block.
